Durandul (DUHR-an-duhl) is an ancient temple complex in Niveval atop Durn Dhoemol (DUHRN THOH-mowl). Archaeological evidence suggests that a place of religious significance has existed there for at least the last three thousand years.

The complex spans the entirety of the mountain’s terraced peak, some three square kilometers. There are 311 shrines, 13 gardens, six temples, and one monastery which includes an observatory and library.

Temples

Five of the six temples of Durandul are dedicated to each of the five elements, while the sixth and highest is dedicated to the sky and associated with the monastic order that services the complex, the Na’Antiur Dhoemoir.
